Hi just came accross a miniglen, got it cheap, we are planning to do some work .Need to start at chassis e.t.c. Seem to have a query with the size of wheels.Long way off yet though.. What is meant to be on the van?I see through looking through the archive it was meant to be the same as the mini .At the mo has 13 " x 145.Just interested to know really. If they were any smaller wouldnt the caravan be nose high ??? Want to actually use it too , Any help would be much appreciated. We have got a big twin axle bessacarr (old had it ages and love it.)the mini glen is quite a change and something in its own right! Thanks Vikki & Gordon. :)

Hi Vikki and Gordon and welcome. Re the wheel sizes in 1967 when they where first introduced they had the 10" Mini wheels but later this was changed to 13" the original wheel size being as a way of saving space when towing with a mini. I believe the change came about because more folks where driving cars with 13" wheels and the change was made to also bring them into line with the rest of the range.
Please feel free to send me pictures of the Thomson and the Bessecarr to graham@thomson-caravans.co.uk and I will add them to the appropriate albums.
