Just wondering after a comment from the wife while looking at the banner at the top. She asked are there any 1908 Thomson that still exist?
If not what is the oldest that is known about?

The oldest known one I have seen was at the museum in Dumbarton, later sold on to someone who did contact me as they where restoring it to original, must look that up again. The van was a 1922 Lantern roof one and I did have pictures on the website, must find out what I did to them, may hopefully be on a back-up disc somewhere! Technically Thomson was a coachworks in 1908 and did lots of work on carnival equipment and caravans, no doubt somewhere in all travelling fairs there may still be some original Thomson carriages or shows still in use. Would be very interesting to find out if that is the case. Glad you brought this up as I now cannot see the 1920's van on the site, what did i do to it?

Found a folder with the pictures Itook at the museum, will sort through them and put them back into theout and about album asap. It was the Alexandria Museum in dumbartonshire who had it before it was sold, it was advertised on ebay about a year ago, it did not sell at that time, since then I have heard nothing, will try and find out the details and e-mail anyone that has contacted me about it before. This would be the oldest one i know about that was being restored, there are a few from the 1930's still doing the rounds and details can be found in the Thomson Directory and Out and About albums.
