Hi Paul, a lot of caravan dealers stock old keys which are original types. Have a look at Sals1914 ad on EbayI have purchased from her in the past and the service is first class. If you have an original key it will have the code on it, quite possibly MC followed by the number. Let me know how you get on Sal1914 is the staff member for Kenmore Caravans who maintains the ebay shop. If you e-mail her the details you have via Ebay then she will do her best to find them for you.

Hi Graham, no luck with the key from Kenmore, or anywhere else for that matter However Kenmore did phone me the morning after I emailed them to tell me. They also had the oil seal that I wanted for the bearing in stock and it was only slightly more expensive than the one I'd sourced from a supplier. The chap was really helpful so I'll be using them or at least trying them first if I need any more parts. With only one key and going to a festival tomorrow I came up with a cunning plan. Having a brand new spare lock barrel and key for my Land Rover rear door I removed the door lock (three screws) took out the button (two screws) and removed the barrel (a small spring loaded clip on the inside of it) Then by juggling the tumblers about and filing a few down I managed to get the barrel to accept the Land Rover keys ;D I also found the makers plate which I removed some time ago to clean up, then lost it. 71 GG 193, does that mean it's a 1971 I'll add it to the register as soon as I can. Cheers, Paul

71 GG 193 = 1971 Glenelg 193rd Thomson Glenelg made in 1971
Glad you got the keys sorted, shame Kenmore didn't have them I must have sent to many people their way LOL! Good news on the seal though, if they are only slightly dearer than the manufacturer then they must be trying to keep the prices reasonable.

Hi Guys, I can recommend Global Keys in Stourbridge for keys to number. They can definitely cut Strebor and MC keys to code. You can order from them and pay by card and they will post the keys out to you. If you need to contact them their phone number is 01384 440228 email: sales@globalsecuritygroup.co.uk web: www.globalsecuritygroup.co.ukI hope this helps? Duncan
