Did you know - Thomson built Ambulance bodies, trailers, and thousands of amunition boxes from 1939 - 1945! The entire fleet of hire caravans was also given to the war effort for use as temporary housing, hospital wards, and ARP stations, the prototype vans where also used for this and one example is a 1938 Dart that was an ARP station.

Did you know - Romany Gypsies and the Fair ground folk, referred to Thomson Caravans as Danny's vans, such was their high respect for the man and his excellent work. Many of their original vans having had repairs done by Danny as well as repairs to Fair Ground rides.
